At Very Important People Services, we provide fantastic day care services for young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Enfield. Our social hub, located at 49 Lancaster Road, Enfield, EN2 0BS, is all about empowering individuals while helping them develop important life skills, gain independence, and make social connections in a friendly environment.

Life Skills Development

Independence Skills

Social Skills Enhancement

Social interaction plays a big role in our services. We organise various activities that promote social skills, including group discussions, collaborative projects, and fun games. By interacting with their peers, service users build friendships and learn important communication skills.

Healthy Living & Food Education

At VIPS, we believe in healthy living. Our food education programmes teach service users about nutrition, cooking, and meal planning. They learn to make informed food choices, promoting a balanced diet and overall well-being.

Exercise and Wellness

Staying active is vital for a healthy lifestyle. We offer in-house workout classes like Zumba and dance, designed to improve fitness levels and encourage movement. Regular exercise not only boosts physical health but also lifts mood and energy.

Community Engagement

We love getting out and about in the community! Our outings include trips to the cinema, bowling, West End theatre shows, and meals at local restaurants. These experiences not only bring joy but also help service users build social skills and confidence in public settings.

Team building is an important part of our programme. Through engaging activities, service users learn how to work together, trust each other, and build a sense of community.

Arts and Crafts Sessions

Creativity thrives at VIPS! Our arts and crafts sessions offer a chance for self-expression and exploration. Service users can try out different materials, enhance their fine motor skills, and boost their self-esteem through their completed projects.

Personalised Goals and Support

Every service user is unique, and we take the time to understand their individual needs and dreams. We set personal goals that are achievable, using our ‘Young Adult Profile’. with the support of our trained VIPS team. We’re not just Support Workers; we’re family. We celebrate every success, big or small, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere for everyone.

We offer care and support for children as young as 8+ all the way up to 18. Then from 18+ we offer a young adults service where they can easily transition over to and continue their journey with us, learning key skills about how to live a successful, independent life.

Social Skills

Strengthening social skills allows young people to live fulfilling social lives by arranging for them to attend a wide range of enjoyable events, spending time within the community, building strong relationships & learning appropriate behaviours in different environments.
